         Psychotherapist

If you are reading this you are likely considering ways in which you can take steps toward creating a more satisfying and enjoyable life.  I'm glad you are here!

Psychotherapy provides an opportunity for connection, growth, and change. I aim to create an environment that respects the uniqueness of each individual and allows them to feel secure and understood. Over the years, I have worked with individuals striving to create significant change in their lives - to develop more satisfying relationships, a greater sense of purpose, and the confidence to recognize their own strengths. It has been an incredible privilege to be a part of this process and it has taught me that the potential for transformation is truly limitless.

I received my MSW from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and have 4 years of post-graduate training in psychoanalysis.  I also have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish and have worked internationally and within diverse communities here in the U.S.  This has afforded me the opportunity to develop my cultural awareness and learn to connect with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.  These experiences have increased the depth and richness of my understanding and ability to appreciate and respect each individual's unique emotional life.

I utilize an eclectic approach that combines psychodynamic theory with mindfulness techniques. My primary specialty is working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Whether you are coping with grief, unresolved feelings related to early childhood trauma, or an unexpected life change - we can work together to make sense of your experience.

I seek to create a nonjudgmental space that empowers individuals to pave their own path toward self-exploration and discovery. Please don't hesitate to reach out.  Let's explore the possibility of starting this journey together.
